Tanauan City launches Pledge 25

With no less than the support of Tanauan City Mayor Nelson “Sonny” P. Collantes, the Tanauan Branch of the Philippine Red Cross - Batangas Chapter in partnership with the Alex Torres Institute for Young Humanitarian Leaders, launched the Pledge 25 Blood Drive to instill voluntary and non-remunerated blood donation among young people.

Introduced to students of Tanauan Institute and Tanauan City College, these young blood donors pledge to give blood regularly until they reach the age of 25. Thus, ensuring adequate supply anytime, when needed.

The Tanauan project debut was heavily attended by the organization’s big wigs headed by Former Mayor Paquito Lirio, the PRC Tanauan Branch Chair with Council Members Councilor and Ret. BGen. Ben Corona, Atty. Nestor Tolentino and Prince Rolex Natanauan. The local Red Cross Chapter Administrator Ronald Generoso, Tanauan Branch Head Mark Jerick Paz and from Blood Services Alex Fernandez and Arianne Lopez.

Alex Torres Institute for Young Humanitarian Leaders pledges to fully support the sustainability of the program was represented by its Board of Directors Annie Domingo-Torres and Mark Soriano.
